Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 June 2026

Mirelle is a private, invitation-only atelier. We collect as little as possible, never sell what we hold, and keep your information only to make, care for, and one day reclaim the pieces we create for you.

1. Who we are

This website, mirelle.in, and the Mirelle atelier are operated by Ishan Sharma, a sole proprietor trading as Mirelle (GSTIN 29DLJPS4371D1ZQ), with its principal place of business at No. 78, 4th Cross, 7th Block, Koramangala, Bengaluru (Urban), Karnataka 560095, India.

For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Mirelle is the Data Fiduciary responsible for your personal data. You can reach us at atelier@mirelle.in.

2. The short version

mirelle.in is a showcase. It does not sell anything, take payment, or place orders online, and it does not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.

We only hold personal data you choose to share with us — for example when you request or accept an invitation, enquire about a piece, or become a member — together with the minimal technical logs our hosting provider keeps to keep the site secure.

3. What we collect

Information you give us: your name and contact details (such as email, phone, or social handle), any details you share when enquiring, and — if you commission a piece — the measurements, preferences, and fitting notes needed to make it for you.

Information collected automatically: our content-delivery and security provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request metadata such as IP address, approximate location, browser type, and timestamps to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not place advertising or analytics cookies.

4. Why we use it

To consider and manage invitations and membership; to design, make, deliver, repair, and ultimately reclaim and biodegrade your pieces; to communicate with you; to keep the site and our atelier secure; and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent where the law requires it, and otherwise on the legitimate uses and contractual necessity recognised under applicable law. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, though some processing (such as keeping tax records) may be required by law.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with trusted parties who help us operate — for example atelier and material partners, couriers, and our website host — and only as needed for them to perform their work, under confidentiality.

We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Mirelle, our members, or others.

6. Where it is processed

Our website is served through Cloudflare's global network, so technical data may be processed on servers outside India. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected in line with applicable law.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as you are a member or in conversation with us, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law — including statutory tax and accounting retention periods. We then delete or anonymise it.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, update, or erase your personal data, and to address grievances about how we handle it. You may also nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, write to our grievance contact, Ishan Sharma, at atelier@mirelle.in. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard what you entrust to us and to limit access to those who need it.

10. Children

Mirelle is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental or guardian consent as required by law. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will address it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its revision date, will always be available here. Material changes will be communicated to active members where appropriate.
